Why Aging SMART?

Brain Stimulation Program

The brain’s function can be divided into the following 5 cognitive domains. The brain is a muscle and exercising these five domains is no different than exercising different parts of your body. It’s not only important, but it is also vital to a long and mentally healthy life.

  • Memory
  • Executive functioning
  • Attention
  • Language
  • Sensory and motor functions

Geriatric Care Management

Provides the process of assessing, organizing, and monitoring services in a system that is fragmented and puzzling for the elderly population. As care managers, we work closely with individuals and their loved ones to enhance the quality of life by providing guidance and ensuring stability for our clients. Our goal is to assist with overwhelming situations in order to relieve you of the stress of the complexities associated with social, medical, financial, and legal issues. Care managers assist individuals and caregivers in coping with demands and establishing short and long-term plans for individual clients. We evaluate each client and offer personalized service options.

Who benefits from our services?

More and more studies have shown the importance of exercising the brain to help maintain cognition as we age. Keeping your brain active is a key factor in healthy aging. Just as we exercising our bodies we must exercise our minds. Our program is specifically designed to stimulate brain function for the active senior, those with mild cognitive impairment, or early stage Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia by employing a variety of cognitive challenging activities. All activities focus on cognitive strengthening, maintaining and improving hand eye coordination, and using fine motor skills. Sessions are conducted individually or in a small group setting in either the client’s home or facility.
